Frequently asked questions
Our coaching sessions are aimed at children who want to learn and enjoy badminton in a fun, supportive environment.
All players are welcome whether they have never touched a racket or have experience in a school club.
If your child does have extensive competitive experience playing ranked tournaments our Regional Performance Programme (RPP) might be more suitable. Get in touch for more information.
Rackets are available to borrow for new players at all sessions. As we only have a limited number of rackets, we recommend that players buy their own racket after a few weeks.
At sessions for young players (5-9 years) we supply all players with small rackets.
While we have pay per session options for adults, for juniors we require all players to be members. There’s a two week taster period for your child to see if they enjoy the session.
We accept players aged 5 to 18 years old
Our sessions are tagged with the age range that they are suitable for as we group players of similar ages together.
Each coaching session lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. During this time, your child will learn various badminton skills including grips, footwork, basic strokes, and more advanced tactics as they progress, all under the guidance of our fully qualified and friendly coaches.
We also include plenty of time for matchplay where they can develop tactics and consistency.
